S.O.S.
When boating it is absolutely essential to have a radio, whether is be a SSB radio, Marine VHF, or GMRS/FRS radio, for times of distress. Getting caught in a situation without a radio to call for help can be very dangerous and can also be the difference between life and death. Radios can also be used to communicate with harbors, bridges and marinas, or to avoid collisions with other boats. So please practice safe boating measure and make sure you have a radio on hand when out on the water.
